EUGENE - On Thursday, May 29, the Oregon Scholastic Activities Association (OSAA) 2025 Track and Field State Championships kicked off from Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon. Columbia Gorge News sports editor Noah Noteboom arrived on Friday and will be sharing photos and results on this page as they happen.
Small schools (Class 1A/2A/3A) got things started with prelim events. See Thursday's results here and see who qualified for the finals scheduled for Friday evening. Small school competitions will conclude on Friday evening with the boys 4x400 meter relay scheduled for 9:47 p.m.
FRIDAY RESULTS
4A girls 3000 meters - Alaina Casady (The Dalles), 6th place @ 10:38.92.
4A Boys 800 meters (prelims) – Tyson Long (The Dalles) 2nd place in heat, 4th overall @ 2:00.74. (Qualified for Saturday’s finals)
4A Boys 200 meter dash (prelims) – David McCracken (The Dalles) 8th place in heat, 8th place overall @ 22.88 seconds. (Qualified for Saturday’s finals)
4A Boys 300 meter hurdles (prelims) – River McClure (The Dalles) 1st place in heat, 1st overall @ 39.15 seconds. (Qualified for Saturday’s finals)
The Dalles senior River McClure finished with the best time in the prelims of the 4A boys 300 meter hurdles on May 30.
1A Boys Long Jump (finals) – Landon Whitaker (Horizon Christian) 7th place @ 19 feet, 3.5 inches, Michael Blagg (Sherman County) 8th place @ 19 feet, 3.25 inches.
