HOOD RIVER — Radio Amateurs of the Gorge will be hosting a review session for the introductory technician license Friday, Nov. 17 from 5:30-9 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 18 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hood River Fire Department Training Room, 1785 Meyer Parkway, Hood River.
An exam session for all license levels will be held Nov. 18 at 4:30 p.m.
The review session is free. Attendees are expected to study before the session, with free study materials and practice exams provided. The examination fee is $15, free for those under 18. There is an additional $35 fee required by and paid directly to the FCC for new licenses. ARRL, the national association for amateur radio, will reimburse this fee for all those under 18 years old.
