continues at Columbia Center for the Arts in Hood River for a second week.

A Christmas Carol by Christopher Schario adapted from the book by Charles Dickens runs Dec. 13, 14 and 15.

Join the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future as they lead the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge on a journey of transformation and redemption.

Gary Young returns as Scrooge, leading a cast of 30 actors and musicians. Dickens' classic masterpiece will delight and brighten your holiday season with beautiful carols and a timeless message of hope, peace, love, and the true meaning of the holidays.

The play is a co-production with Columbia Gorge Community College and is directed by Richard Parker. This classic holiday tale features over 25 actors and singers from several communities around the Columbia River Gorge.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for students and seniors and $8 for children 11 and under. A special Family Four Pack (2 adults, 2 children) is available for just $40.

Columbia Center for the Arts presents "The Groove Project Grooves Christmas" on Wednesday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m.

"The Groove Project Grooves Christmas" features local musicians including Tim Mayer, Rick Hulett and others performing unique renditions of holiday favorites.

"The Groove Project Grooves Christmas" promises a family-friendly evening of great music and great friends performing holiday standards with a jazzy, funky, soulful twist including: Silent Night, Go Tell it on the Mountain, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, Santa Claus is coming to Town, Do You Hear What I Hear

and more.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children, seniors and students.

Center for Arts presents Congo

Join Columbia Center for the Arts and Kayak Shed on Dec. 21 as they proudly present Congo -- The Grand Inga Project.

Doors will open at 7 p.m., short films at 7:30 with Congo starting at 8 p.m.

Congo is an 80-minute documentary of the epic first descent of the world's biggest rapids. They are the world's biggest rapids, thundering down the final pitch of the mighty Congo River.

Legendary kayaker Steve Fisher and his elite expedition team battle seemingly insurmountable obstacles navigate the maddening politics of a broken Central African country and face their own worst fears in an attempt to be the first explorers to survive the Inga Rapids.

Fisher will be on hand for question and answer following the film.
