One man was was killed and four others injured in a one-vehicle accident Friday evening at approximately 10:30 p.m. near the Klickitat County line on state Route 14.
According to the state patrol report, a 1984 Ford driven by Anthony C. Alsleben, 20, Ocean Park, was eastbound on SR 14 near milepost 146. The vehicle's brakes locked up. The vehicle veered to the right, rotating broadside before rolling twice. The vehicle came to rest on its wheels at the top of an embankment.
Passenger Pete K. Haynes, 60, Lincoln, Mont., suffered injuries to his head and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
Passenger Leiloni Luddin, 15, Lincoln, Mont., was transported to Emanuel Hospital in Portland. She was not wearing a seat belt.
Passenger Marsha L, McCrumb, 38, Lincoln, Mont., was transported to Klickitat Valley Hospital in Goldendale. She was not wearing a seat belt.
Passenger David W. Haynes, 39, Lincoln, Mont., was transported to Hermiston Hospital, then to Kadlac Hospital in Richmond and then to Harborview Hospital in Seattle. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
Passenger Daniel Haynes, 13, Lincoln, Mont., was transported to Hermiston Hospital and then to Kadlac Hospital in Richmond. He too was not wearing a seat belt.
The driver, Alsleben was not injured. He was wearing a seat belt.
