On Oct. 6, 2007, Daphne Louise Saunders died at Skyline Hospital in White Salmon. She was 27 years old. She was born in Portland, Ore., on Sept. 6, 1980, the daughter of Lois Elaine (Bostwick) and Leslie Jacob Brown.

On Oct. 6, 2007, Daphne Louise Saunders died at Skyline Hospital in White Salmon. She was 27 years old. She was born in Portland, Ore., on Sept. 6, 1980, the daughter of Lois Elaine (Bostwick) and Leslie Jacob Brown.
Mrs. Saunders graduated from Reedsport High School. On July 24, 2005, she married Michael Saunders in Albany, Ore. The family made their home in Lyle. She worked for a time outside the home, but for the most part she was a loving mother and homemaker. She loved being with her children. She also enjoyed horseback riding, hunting, fishing and camping.
Mrs. Saunders is survived by her husband, Michael; daughters Jennifer, 7, Tristan, 4, Mikayla, 2, and Hayden, five weeks; son Zachary, 1; mother and stepfather Lois and Randy Zirbel of Omaha, Neb.; father Leslie Brown, Junction City, Ore.; brothers Ryan Brown and Nathaniel Zirbel of Omaha; grandmother Colyce Brown of Junction City; and numerous aunts and uncles.
A graveside memorial service was held on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Adams Cemetery in Glenwood.
Gardner Funeral Home handled cremation arrangements.
CLARENCE HANSON
Clarence Peter Hanson was born on Nov. 30, 1928, in Appleton, Wis., to Hilda Ruth (DePew) and Eldo James Hanson. He died from cancer on Oct. 19, 2007, in The Dalles, Ore., at the age of 78.
Mr. Hanson worked in heavy construction for Peter Kiewit & Sons. He was a past Grange Master of Columbia Grange #87 and volunteered his time at Gleeners, the Senior Center and the Klickitat County Food Bank. He was also a pastor at one time.
Survivors include his sisters June Bell of Eugene, Ore., Clara Engle of Apopka, Fla., and Evelin of Oregon; brothers Lee Hanson of Oregon, Michael Hanson of Florida, and Eddie Hanson of Oregon; sons Phillip L. Hanson, Charlotte, N.C., and Gregory "Peter" Hanson of Wasilla, Alaska; daughters Pamela L. Hylton of Klickitat, Gloria "Pat" Wilson of Walla Walla, Penny L. Wilson of New Plymouth, Idaho, Paula L. Hanson, Colin City, Peggy S. Arellano, Cheyenne, Wyo., Phyllis L. Tennison of Stevenson, and Lori P. Hanson of Cusok; 28 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, at Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon. There will be a viewing on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will take place at the White Salmon Cemetery.
