Condolences go to the family of Dolores Bryan. She passed away late last week after several years of battling cancer. Dolores grew up in Lyle and married her high school sweetheart Jack and together they raised their family here. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Don't forget the 13 Mile+ yard sale set for Friday and Saturday and there will be lots of sales setting up at Lyle Park Place. This sale is gaining nation wide notoriety. Come early and stay late in Lyle, as of course the best buys will be there! Thanks to the anonymous donor who left several nice items on the doorstep of the museum for the yard sale.
The Twin Bridges Museum will be open during the yard sale days, and during the month of July it will be open one night a week.

In that same year came also Adam Hylton, the father of Stanley Hylton who still resides in Lyle."
"But as trade on the Columbia increased, numerous settlers moved down near the docks, and eventually the post office was also moved to the present location of the Jessie Jewel home, and the location of Lyle became established there. Still more settlers were attracted to the thriving settlement along the Columbia, business increased and Lyle soon became incorporated as a town.
