Families in the Park series kicks off

The Aug. 2 program features the great Buddy Holly, the exciting Tom Jones and the talented Sir Elton John. The fun night of Rock and Roll legends will keep everyone dancing, screaming and singing along, starting at 7 p.m.

The American Legion Auxiliary will be serving food in the park, starting at 6 p.m., as a fundraiser. The auxiliary will be selling Kielbasa sausage, chips, fruit cup and a drink for $4.50 per person.

Featured performers for the remaining shows include: rhythm and blues master Paul Delay on Aug. 9, reggae sounds of Shaimir on Aug. 16, western recording stars Lonesome Road on Aug. 23, and big band sounds with the White Salmon Jazz Band on Aug. 30.

There is food served in the park each week beginning at 6 p.m. and music begins at 7 p.m.

All the concerts are free.
