The second Annual Dick Duckwall Golf Classic, held Saturday at the Hood River Golf and Country Club, raised almost $3,500 for the Hood River Alliance Church’s (HRAC) youth program. Through generous hole sponsors, local businesses and the participation of 56 golfers, the HRAC took another step closer to their goal of seeing a youth facility built in Hood River.
“It was a wonderful success,” said organizer Therese Franger. “While we reach for that goal (of the youth center) we will continue to mentor kids and see that they learn the important skills of dealing with real life issues while instilling them with hope for their future and a passion for living a productive life.”
