The Glenwood Community Council is sponsoring a Community Clean-up Day on Saturday, July 12. A garbage truck will be parked at the school parking lot from 9 a.m. to noon, accepting garbage. A baby shower will be held for Cindy Whitefield on Sunday, June 29, at the Glenwood Grange Hall at 2 p.m. All family, relatives and friends are welcome to help the stork with this coming event. If you have questions, contact Margaret Throop, 364-3350, or Kay Carr, 364-3325.
The Glenwood Homemakers would like to thank the community members who supported the Cowboy Breakfast on Sunday, June 15. This event funds the community services the Homemakers provide.
Summer school will be starting on Monday, June 30, for interested students in kindergarten through the ninth grade. Lisa Parsons and Claire Alexander will be supervising class with assistance from Pat Bales and Jessica Pooler. Summer school will run through Friday, July 25.
Swimming lessons for students kindergarten through the eighth grade will begin on Monday, June 30, at the Hood River pool. Lessons will run for two consecutive weeks, except for July 4. The bus will leave the school around 12:30 p.m. and return around 5 p.m. If anyone has any questions about swimming or summer school, please call the school office.
