Tara Rappe went 3 for 4 at the plate and drove in two runs as Lyle came from behind to defeat Goldendale, 6-3, in their March 16 non-league contest.
The Cougars (1-2) erased a 3-2 deficit with a three-run fourth inning against Goldendale starter Rachel Bare.
Rappe put the Cougars ahead, 4-3, with a two-run triple and subsequently scored on Sarah Drath's basehit to make it 5-3.
An RBI single by Mitzi McMurrin in the first frame put the Cougars ahead, 1-0. Kristin Brown made it 2-0 with a run-scoring single in the third.
But the Timberwolves rallied for three runs in the visitors' third to take their only lead of the afternoon.
Lyle added an insurance run in the last of the fifth on Joelle Jackson's single.
Overall, Lyle outhit Goldendale, 7-5. Defensively, the Cougars committed three errors to the Timberwolves' two.
McMurrin (1-2) picked up the win for the Cougars, striking out six and walking none in seven innings.
Lyle opens Greater Columbia B League play on Saturday, March 27, at Sunnyside Christian.
