Bears invade Discovery Center

Hunter is a tracker and naturalist. She is co-founder of the International Society of Professional Trackers. She has been a licensed boat captain for 30 years, working on yachts and research vessels, and has served as historian and naturalist on small cruise ships.

Currently, she is the lead guide and assistant manager at Redoubt Bay Lodge in Alaska, having taken about 4,000 people to observe brown/grizzly bears in their natural habitat.

Hunter has taught human tracking for Search and Rescue, studied animal tracking in Yellowstone, Glacier and the Pacific Northwest. She lives in Stevenson, when not in Alaska.
