Touchdowns and 2-point conversions in the second and third quarters by The Dalles White sent White Salmon's Red Raiders down in defeat, 16-0, in Gorge Youth Football League action last Saturday in The Dalles.
Cody Gromes rushed for 70 yards for White Salmon behind the blocking of an offensive line led by Jake Walker.
Defensively, the Red Raiders got fumble recoveries from Hayden Gromes in the second quarter and R.J. Hicks in the third but couldn't capitalize on the takeaways.
Other defensive standouts included Tanner Rabinowitz and Erik Anderson.
Hood River Blue 32, White Salmon Black 0:
The Black Knights allowed a touchdown and 2-point conversion in each quarter last Saturday in their YFL loss in The Dalles.
Standouts defensively for the Black Knights included Kyle Wilkins, Kellan Duffy, Tristan Bond, Ryan Aldrich and Keifer Kreps.
Offensively, White Salmon got a strong effort from Jarred Garwood in the running game, behind the blocking of Dalton Jones, Tyler Dennis and Matt Bergstrom.
In the fifth quarter, Bryce Wilkins scored on a 60-yard touchdown run.

On the final Saturday of the YFL's regular season, both White Salmon teams are at home. The Red Raiders (0-5) play The Dalles Black at 11:30 a.m., followed at 1 p.m. by a game between the Black Knights (2-3) and The Dalles Red.
