Officials earn Les Schwab bids

Two long-time members of the Mid-Columbia Football Officials Association, Terry Stephens and Gene Saldivar, were selected to participate in the 71st annual 2018 Les Schwab Bowl at Hillsboro Stadium on June 16.

This prestigious event showcases the top graduating seniors from the 6A and 5A classifications. Stephens and Saldivar worked the game alongside five other officials from both the Portland Football and Salem Football Association. The North team ended up defeating the South team by a 24-7 margin, as Grant High School’s Grant Ewell picked up Most Valuable Player honors.
