Huskies take a bite out of the Bulldogs

Sherman Husky heroes Treve Martin, on left, and Trey Homer are mobbed by teammates after smacking seventh-inning home runs to lead their team to a 9-7 come-from-behind victory over Culver Tuesday in a Blue Mountain Conference baseball contest played in Moro. The Sherman baseball team won the first game, 8-3, and added a 9-7 nightcap win to move up to No. 12 in the 2A rankings to entrench itself to third place in league, just two games behind frontrunners Dufur and Pilot Rock.

MORO – Entering the top of the seventh inning, Treve Martin and Trey Homer were a combined 0 for 4 with three strikeouts and two walks.

They saved the real fireworks for crunch time when the Sherman Huskies were down to their last out.
