The Dufur boys’ track and field team was in 22nd place through one day with four points, as Tanner Masterson, Cole Kortge and Friedrick Stelzer were the main contributors. Masterson posted a mark of 11.61 seconds for fifth place in the boys’ 100-meter prelims and tacked on a personal-record 23.16 to end up second in the 200-meter prelims for a finals berth in both events.

For two quarters, Condon-Wheeler gave the Sherman Huskies all they could handle. Ahead 25-21 at the half, the No. 2-ranked Huskies put the Knights away with a 23-11 third-quarter run in a 65-46 victory Saturday in Condon.
Sherman had a two-game stint in the postseason, but had four players make a lasting impression to opposing coaches and administrators for their representation of Husky football.
MORO – With a talented roster of athletes, the Big Sky Conference champion Sherman Huskies won nine games, finished sixth in the 1A state rankings and just missed out on a state semifinal berth after a close playoff loss to North Douglas.
The votes have been counted and both Sherman and Dufur football are well-represented in the 2016 Big Sky Conference all-conference voting. Dufur senior Bailey Keever was named as the Offensive Player of the Year, and Sherman linebacker Maverick Winslow won the Defense Player of the Year award in leading the district champions.
