West First Street, between The Dalles Disposal and Webber Street, will be closed to through traffic, beginning Monday, April 1, at 6:30 a.m.

The contractor for The Dalles public works will remove the asphalt and grade the road base, followed by preparation for concrete work. The street will remain closed overnight for several days until the surface is made safe for travel.
