PENDLETON (AP) — The Oregon Army National Guard has won federal permission to use drones from the Eastern Oregon Regional Airport at Pendleton.

The East Oregonian reports the Federal Aviation Administration has approved the Guard’s plan to fly unmanned aerial vehicles over a 100-square-mile area of mostly wheat fields north of the airport to train troops.
