Multiple Big Sky players hit scoring milestones

THE GORGE — Four Class 1A Big Sky League boys basketball players have hit scoring milestones this season.
Most recently, South Wasco County High School basketball player Rowen Huff reached 1,000 career points on Jan. 20 in a Big Sky game against Lyle/Wishram.
Rowen’s teammate, Jason Hull (also a senior), passed the 2,000-point mark against Condon High School on Jan. 17, preceded by two Lyle/Wishram Cougars hit a few weeks earlier. Senior Jack Thiemann hit his 1,000-point mark against Dufur on Dec. 8, and senior Carson Ramsay got to 1,000-point mark on Jan. 6 against Arlington/Ione.
The four will battle each other the rest of the season in search of a Big Sky title.
South Wasco County (17-2, 8-0) currently sits at the top of the standings for the Big Sky, while Lyle/Wishram (9-7, 4-4) sits near the middle of the pack in sixth place.
