Four Riverhawk girls, three boys, earn basketball awards

THE DALLES — Seven basketball players (four girls and three boys) from The Dalles High School earned OSAA 4A Tri-Valley Conference all-league honors for their performances during the 2025-26 season.

For the girls squad, sophomore Bryce Newby and senior Hailey Johnston earned first-team honors. Newby averaged 11.75 points per game, 4.75 rebounds, 3.8 assists and two steals, while Johnston averaged 11.5 points per game, 4.75 rebounds, two assists, 1.25 steals and three blocks.

Freshman Anuhea Peters earned second-team honors. Peters averaged seven points per game, 3.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists and two steals. Senior Evelyn Rogers was an honorable mention pick, putting up 7.25 points per game, 7.25 rebounds, 2.6 steals and one block.

Junior Oliver Stevens earned first-team all-league boys honors and was selected by coaches as the TVC most valuable player. Stevens averaged 25.1 points per game, 5.75 assists, four rebounds, 1.25 blocks, and two steals, while shooting 56 percent from the field and 42 person on 3-pointers.

Senior Calder Morrison earned second-team honors. Morrison averaged 16.6 points per game, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.75 assists. Senior Derek Goulart was an honorable mention choice, with eight points per game, six rebounds per game, while shooting 40% from three.
