Special for Valentine’s Day, the Columbia Gorge Sinfonietta he orchestra is presenting an evening of music called “Scandinavian Romance,” and it features compositions by Jean Sibelius, Oskar Bohme, and Georg Philipp Telemann.

Students at Chenowith Elementary School will soon be enjoying a “sound lab” with music-writing software and other perks paid for by their own fundraising efforts. Music teacher Corin Parker said she is pleased by the amount of money the students were able to raise through their “Run for the Arts” events.
