I had been asked to arrange the function by a relative who had met him at a meeting and been impressed with his experience at the U.S. Treasury, in the private sector, as a five-term state legislator, and his ideas of ways to help the people of Oregon with retirement and college savings as well as promoting smart fiscal policies for the state’s resources and infrastructure.
