(The Center Square) - Members of the Senate Committee on the Environment and Public Works on Wednesday considered a $50 billion federal plan that would fund three future nuclear innovation campuses designed to attract heavy manufacturing industries with abundant energy while also housing radioactive waste.
THE GORGE — This summer, Djuli Lomboy walked over 200 miles up the Big River, a prayer walk done in protest of the Hanford Nuclear Site and other industrial impacts, and a project she says was given to her by the land. Now she’s organizing others on behalf of the river.
