Redside football wins fifth straight; playoffs next

The South Wasco County High Redsides won their fifth straight game in Class 1A Special District 1 six-man football, 49-28, over the No. 7-ranked Joseph High Eagles (6-2) Oct. 28 at South Wasco High School in Maupin.

The new era of Class 1A six-man football, sanctioned by the OSAA for the first time, plus a new field for South Wasco County, equaled a successful start Sept. 1, when the Redsides won 33-0 over the Harper Charter Hornets in Maupin.
