Klickitat County Fire Protection District No. 3 has denied all allegations made against it in Committee for Fair Taxation from Klickitat County Fire Protection District No. 3 v. Klickitat County Fire Protection District No. 3 and Klickitat County, et al, a lawsuit begun in Superior Court on Dec. 2.
Klickitat County Port District No. 1’s temporary levy lid lift request was failing by a more than 2-to-1 margin on Election Night, Nov. 7, as more than 68 percent of returned ballots said No to the proposition.
The board of commissioners of Klickitat County Port District No. 1 has decided to try again to obtain voter approval of an increase in the district’s property tax levy rate.
