The public is invited to view a selection of colorful works created by the Gorge fiber artists’ group, Beyond the Block: Art Quilters of the Gorge from Jan. 2 to 28 in the White Salmon Valley Community Library’s Sprint/Baker Gallery.

During the month of May, Beyond the Block will be showing their art exhibition “Building(s)” at the Hood River Library in the Jeanne Marie Gaulke Community Meeting Room. The art quilts were created by members of Beyond the Block in response to a challenge to make artwork 14” wide by 42” long, with a vertical orientation in representational or abstract design, conveying the concept “Building” (noun or verb).
