The Dalles softball team dominated Washougal, 11-0, and salvaged a home doubleheader split with 6A Bend Friday, taking a 3-0 win and a 19-10 loss at 16th Street Ballpark.

The Dalles Riverhawks cruised to their third consecutive victory, a 49-31 final versus Parkrose, in girls basketball action Friday at Kurtz Gym. Kilee Hoylman paced the Riverhawks with 21 points; Ellie Codding added eight; Rainie Codding scored five and the duo of Molly Taylor and Lauryn Belanger chipped in four points each.

Last season, The Dalles softball team needed eight games to score 43 runs and didn’t earn its first win until April 22. So far this spring, the Riverhawk bats have come alive with 44 runs scored through four games, they are already one win from matching their 2017 total and moved up to No. 5 in the 5A rankings following a 25-3 mercy-ruled dismantling of Redmond in non-league softball action Tuesday at 16th Street Ballpark.
