DA gets 2-month suspension

Wasco County District Attorney Eric Nisley appealed to the Oregon Supreme Court a 30-day suspension of his law license for making a false statement to the state bar. On Thursday, the Supreme Court ruled he made four false statements and handed down a 60-day suspension.

Bar files formal complaint on DA

The Oregon State Bar filed a formal complaint last month alleging Wasco County District Attorney Eric Nisley made false statements to the bar. Nisley denied the allegation in a July 10 response and asked that the complaint, filed in the Oregon Supreme Court, be dismissed.
