To the editor: Cadet Bone Spurs claims he would have run into Stoneman Douglas High School unarmed if he had been on the scene of the recent shooting there. Apparently, he is braver now than he was during the Vietnam era when he secured five deferments. I would like to call on him to immediately fly to the scene of the next school shooting and put his new-found bravery into action.

To the editor: Measure 101 will arrive as a single-issue ballot in January, asking voters to support the existing healthcare plan that ensures that 95 percent of Oregonians and 100 percent of children have access to healthcare.
