Big Sky Conference boys’ basketball players were honored after tournament action concluded last Saturday in Madras with several big names making the cut.

Basketball players participated in the Elks Northeast Region District Hoop Shoot on Sunday, Dec. 7 in Hermiston. Julie Hull knocked down 22 of 25 shots for first place in her girls’ bracket, while Jason Hull made 18 of his 25 free throw attempts to pull away from his field.

Youth basketball players representing the South Wasco County third and fourth graders finished the regular season with an unblemished 7-0 overall record during play for the Northern Wasco County Parks and Recreation Department.

Basketball players had four days of learning the basics of the basketball game under the tutelage of The Dalles varsity head coach Nathan Morris (front) and assistant coach Greg Cummings this past week on the campus of The Dalles Middle School.
