Basketball players had four days of learning the basics of the basketball game under the tutelage of The Dalles varsity head coach Nathan Morris (front) and assistant coach Greg Cummings this past week on the campus of The Dalles Middle School. A total of 35 athletes, ranging from the third-through-ninth grades, were on hand for the camp to learn the finer detials of dribbling, passing, shooting, free throw shooting and team chemistry. With a large of prtion of the kids coming from the gorge, Morris’ long-term goal was to refine the players’ skill sets, so that they could head back to their programs better prepared for the rigors of the winter season. Along with Morris and Cummings, TD players Dalles Seufalemua, Caden Cummings, Dakota Murr and a host of other were in attendance to help with fundamental activities. Ray Rodriguez photo
