Earlier this week, District-2 candidate Jamie McLeod-Skinner stopped by Dog River Coffee in downtown Hood River to hear from people in the area and give voters the chance to get to know who she is as she vies for U.S. Rep. Greg Walden’s (R-Ore.) post in Congress.
A fugitive watch has been issued for Donald Norris, 48. Norris is currently on felony probation for the following offense: One Count of Delivery of Methamphetamine.
To the editor: Little good may come from electing Hillary Clinton for president, but much harm will certainly come from Donald Trump. Daily, Donald Trump shows himself to be a buffoonish celebrity with a superiority complex, the temper-tantrums of a toddler, and no grasp of our Constitutional system. He is a mean little would-be authoritarian who luxuriates in the adulation of his rallies — but quakes with rage if a reporter dares to question him or protester stands quietly in opposition. Who else tells supporters to throw punches at demonstrators? Who else in our troubled country threatens his political opponents with prison?
More than 600 Wasco County citizens have either registered to vote, changed their party affiliation or updated their address since April 7 when the clerk’s office did its main ballot insertion for the May 17 primary.
