“You are about to show me shadows of the things that have not happened, but will happen in the time before us. Is that so, spirit?” Scrooge’s longest night receives a fresh take starting Dec. 2 from the large cast of “A Christmas Carol,” directed by Lynda Dallman, on stage at Wy’east Middle School.

There is literary fun to be found at Hood River Library with “Dickens Week,” Nov. 27 to Dec. 1. Festivities kick off with a party on Tuesday, 5:30-7 p.m., celebrating the author’s 200th year.

The Hood River Hotel and CAST Theater are teaming up to bring Christopher Schiro’s version of the Charles Dickens’ classic, “A Christmas Carol,” to the Hood River community this fall.
