Letter to the Editor: Christmas thanks

We put 13 items in each bag. Each bag was worth approximately $25 apiece.

Thank you to all the people who donated homemade cookies. We asked for 50 dozen and we received way more. The extra ones we donated to the Warming Place.

A special thank you to Lana, who made all the polar fleece scarfs.

Advantage Dental donated toothbrushes. Dr. Stansbury also donated dental items.

Burger King was generous with a donation of gift cards: We put a $10 card in each bag.

My brother and his wife ordered combs and gloves for us.

Many, many people made generous cash donations for the program. I usually shop all year long looking for bargains on the items.

I’m sure this bag is the only gift our diners receive at Christmas.

Our Christmas dinner was a huge success. We fed 54 people, and we ran out of nearly everything.
