Kim Kike Donaghy, aged 70, passed away from a heart-attack on June 2, 2024, in Chehalis, Washington. Born on July 11, 1953, in Lake Arrowhead, California, Kim was a man of adventure and passion, whose life was a vivid tapestry of outdoor activities and cherished moments with family and friends.
Kim's spirit thrived in the great outdoors; he was an avid enthusiast of skiing, kayaking, hiking, archery, camping, and road trips. His love for barbecuing turned many ordinary evenings into memorable feasts under the stars. Those who knew Kim will remember him as a joyful presence, whose kindness and love enriched their lives profoundly.
He is survived by his loving sister, Lynn Price, his daughters, Becky Stevens and Jessie Vandehey, and his son, Dane Donaghy, as well as his grandchildren, Ryker Vandehey and Kora Vandehey. Kim was preceded in death by his parents, Roberta Dittbrenner and Harvey Albert Donaghy.
A celebration of Kim's life will be held in Sahale Lodge, at Mt. Hood Meadows on Sunday, Aug. 25 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. This gathering will reflect his adventurous spirit and the kindness he spread so generously. In honor of Kim's legacy, attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite Hawaiian printed or woven item and to share a memory of your friendship with this gentle soul.
