HOOD RIVER — Special Olympics Hood River will host its third annual Polar Plunge on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 10 a.m. at Waterfront Park. All proceeds will benefit athletes in the Gorge.
Register and start fundraising today at Support.soor.org/team/780820. Please note that you do not have to plunge to participate in fundraising.
“Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and competition for individuals with intellectual disabilities, offering opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, and experience joy alongside their families and the community,” said a press re-lease. “Polar Plunge funds provide essential uniforms, transportation, and lodging for local and state events. Our athletes compete in a variety of sports, including basketball, skiing, snowboarding, basketball, golf, bocce ball, soccer, and corn hole (new!).”
