Avoid construction area — Crestline Construction has been contracted by The City of The Dalles to provide storm, sidewalk, and roadway reconstruction on E 12th Street between Thompson and Richmond. Construction began March 10 will run until late September. Please avoid the area and use alternate routes to access either ends of the project by using 10th Street, 14th Street or Morton Street to navigate around the work zones.
Adventist agreement — Adventist Health Columbia Gorge and the Oregon Health & Science University Knight Cancer Institute have signed an agreement to provide collaborative cancer care at Celilo Cancer Center in The Dalles. This agreement formalizes an ongoing operational relationship between the organizations, said a press release. Under the agreement, the Celilo program will be governed by a board jointly representing OHSU Knight Cancer Institute and Adventist Health Columbia Gorge. In addition to continuing and expanding Celilo’s medical oncology, radiation oncology and surgery programs, the partnership increases opportunities for Columbia Gorge patients to access clinical trials.
Trim your trees — The City of The Dalles is asking citizens to make a special effort to prevent unsightly damage to street trees that have low hanging branches.
