It’s almost time to dive back into the waters for Shark TankSeason 17.
In just three weeks, the competition series returns on a new night and with a new set of guest sharks and entrepreneurs hoping for investment opportunities with the sharks.
TV Insider has an exclusive new look at the teaser and key art for the season, which shows the six main sharks coasting along on a magic carpet ride made of money and reaching for the next bright lightbulb of an idea. In the above-embedded first-look, you’ll see the season’s dealmaking hopefuls bringing their pitches to the stage. That includes a familiar face: SNL alum Pete Davidson and his partner at his doublesoul sock company make a request for a $500,000 investment.
Shark Tank Season 17 will see the return of several original sharks: Barbara Corcoran, the real estate mogul who’s made more than a hundred deals on the show; Robert Herjavec, cybersecurity mogul; Daymond John, CEO of FUBU who’s invested over $8 million on startups on the show; and Kevin O’Leary a.k.a. “Mr. Wonderful,” an investor and financial guru. Also returning are Lori Greiner, a CPG investor and inventor who joined the show full time in Season 4, and Daniel Lubetzsky, Kind founder, who joined the series in Season 16 after years of guest-starring.
In a press release, ABC teased of the new season, “Viewers will continue to ride an emotional roller coaster this season, complete with heated fights between the Sharks, ingenious business ideas, and touching moments. Whichever way the wheeling and dealing may go, many people’s lives will be better off — because they dared to enter the unpredictable waters of the Shark Tank.”
