Boys place fourth
Seniors Logan King and Kai Wagner continue to pace the Hood River Valley boys cross country team to top five finishes.
The Eagles were fourth at the Sept. 14 Oregon City XC Invitational, which included 18 scoring teams and 145 varsity finishers. HRV was third in its season opener, the Ultimook Race on Sept. 7.
King was third overall in a 15-second personal best of 15 minutes, 57 seconds over the fast Oregon City course. Wagner also PR’d — in 16:10 for 5,000 meters — for the second time in as many races this season.
Hood River’s third through sixth runners finished within a minute of each other, led by Victor Coffman’s 17:20 effort (30th place). Teammates Andres Moretti was 43rd (17:42), Davis Kerr was 53rd (17:56); and Copeland Louis was 69th (18:29).
