Eagle girls finished season above .500

Hood River methodically distanced itself from Milwaukie on the Mustangs’ home floor. Julia Rowan started the game with back-to-back 3-pointers for the Eagles, who never trailed.

Rowan was one of three seniors playing in her final game for HRV along with point guard Sarah Mason and reserve wing Kennley Benefield.

Isabel Rivera’s steal and layup increased the lead to 21-9 late in the first half, and Bella Howe scored two 3-pointers during an 8-2 third-quarter run, leaving HRV with a 31-15 advantage.

The past three seasons — with Mason and Rowan on varsity — the Eagles improved from 8-16, to 11-14, to 13-11 (Benefield was on varsity the past two seasons).
