Eagle boys shut out West Salem

In doubles, Jenner Baumhackl and Finbar O’Donoghue won 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1; Eric Cruz and Oliver De Bruin won at No. 2, 6-1, 6-1; and Carson Abel and Asher Weld won at No. 3, 6-1, 6-0.

The Eagle boys were scheduled to play an away match at Putnam on April 30, host Canby on May 1, and play against Wilsonville on May 3 at Lewis & Clark College. The Northwest Oregon Conference seeding meeting is May 9, and district play begins May 10. The Class 5A state tennis championships are May 24 at Tualatin Hills in Beaverton.
