Songwriters in the Round, hosted by the ambassador of song Steve Hale, is a program where three songwriters Steven Hale, Tracy Klass, and Lincoln Crockett each take turns playing an original composition and sharing about why and how they wrote it. The event will be held at Hood River Library on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 7 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public.Three sonically creative artists will present their hand crafted-audio treats to you totally acoustically, regaling beautiful melodies, intriguing chord changes, and compelling stories about their songs.

Steve Hale is a singer/songwriter with a soul edge. Steve delivers his brand of blue-eyed-soul-Americana-pop in the tradition of Daryl Hall, Sam Cooke and Bill Withers. His love for melody is woven deeply into the chordal fabric of his songs, making his music rich, sultry, glowing and delicious. An Oregon native, Steve Hale has been a singer, songwriter and producer in the Northwest for over 30 years.
