Free star party Sept. 12

“See Saturn as it was 70 minutes earlier, the Hercules star cluster as it was during our last ice age, and the Great Andromeda Galaxy as it was 2.5 million years ago,” said a press release. “Grab some casual food in a perfect picnic setting, share an evening of camaraderie with like-minded folks, and hang out for a post-party look at the detailed surface of the moon.”

Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket and warm clothes for lounging on the grass. There will be snacks sold onsite, or visit a local eatery.

Do not bring flashlights, and leave the dogs at home.
