KLICKITAT CO. — John Duresky, a Democratic candidate for U.S. Congress in Washington’s 4th District (WA-04), will hold two town halls in Klickitat County on Thursday, Feb. 26.
A retired Air Force Major who served three deployments, Duresky will conduct the first town hall from 3:30-5 p.m. at Ayutlense Mexican Restaurant in Bingen, 120 E. Stueben St. He will stage the second town hall from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Goldendale Library, 131 W. Burgen St.
Duresky is running to represent Washington State’s Congressional District Four, a seat currently held by Republican Dan Newhouse. Newhouse recently declared that he will not run for reelection for the 2027-28 Congressional term.
“I’m running because WA-04 deserves a representative who shows up, listens, and defends the Constitution, not political insiders or party games,” Duresky states on his website.
Currently a resident of Richland, Duresky most recently worked as a Project Control Manager at Hanford. His website cites his priorities as affordability, healthcare reform, immigration, and strengthening democracy. Duresky will speak more specifically about those priorities at the town halls, and he will answer questions from the audience.
The Washington State primary election date is August 4, and the general election will be November 3.
