“The Rocky Horror Show,” originally staged in 1973, is a cult-classic musical created by Richard O’Brien. A humorous and campy homage to science fiction and horror B-movies, it follows the adventures of a young engaged couple, Brad and Janet, who stumble upon the mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a self-proclaimed “sweet transvestite from Transexual, Transylvania.” The mansion is inhabited by an assortment of bizarre characters, including Frank-N-Furter’s creation, the muscle-bound Rocky. Known for its infectious rock and pop tunes and outrageous costumes, this show has garnered a dedicated following and remains a beloved theatrical gem.
Featuring a large, talented, cast and crew, “The Rocky Horror Show” will captivate, shock and entertain audiences over three exhilarating weekends: Oct. 6-7, 13-14, 20-21 at 7:30 p.m., and Oct. 8 and 15 at 2 p.m. The show has a run time of approximately two hours.
This production is not for the faint of heart or pre-teen children due to its mature content. Viewer discretion is advised for youth under the age of 16.
