A guest donates canned goods during Mt. Hood Meadows’ Provide to Ride event benefiting Hood River’s FISH Food Bank.

Hood Meadows’ annual Provide to Ride event Jan. 30, which helped raise food donations and money for Hood River’s FISH Food Bank.
By the end of the day, guests had donated 5,482 pounds of food, and Meadows donated $19,950 in proceeds from that day’s lift ticket sales.
Mt. Hood Meadows offered a free lift ticket to anyone who showed up to the resort with 24 cans of food or two hams to donate. Alternatively, guests could purchase a special $40 lift ticket good for the entire day, of which $35 was donated to FISH. “We are amazed at the kindness and generosity of Mt. Hood Meadows, their employees, and guests for their help supporting our food-insecure friends and neighbors,” said Jacqueline Carey, executive director of FISH Food Bank. “The proceeds from Provide to Ride will help feed the 600 families we serve each month at FISH. We are so appreciative.”
“We continue to be blown away by the generosity that our guests show during this event,” said Greg Pack, president and general manager of Mt. Hood Meadows. “It’s always a great atmosphere at the resort during Provide to Ride and we look forward to holding this event again next season.”
