Skatepark to open soon

In the meantime, the park is fenced and closed. Skateboarders are asked not to use the area until it is formally opened.

A ribbon cutting will take place on Nov. 21 at 3 p.m.

Solstice Wood Fire Cafe will be donating a percentage of proceeds from its dinner service on Sunday, Nov. 21, from 4 to 6 p.m. towards the second phase of the park. Solstice will also be showing a "skate" movie during that time.

Donations for phase 2 of the skatepark are still being accepted.
