The community is invited to an open house and dedication of the new Ray T. Yasui Dialysis Center, Sunday, Jan. 15, from 1 to 4 p.m. The center is located on the third floor of the new addition to the Providence Health Services Building, 1151 May St. in Hood River.
Parking is available next to the building, in all hospital lots and at the Assembly of God church.
The new center boasts 12 state-of-the-art dialysis stations, an increase from eight in the former center. The added chairs allow people who had been traveling to Portland for their thrice-weekly treatments to now just drive the short distance to the Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital campus.
Dialysis Center staff members will be on hand for this Sunday’s open house to give a preview of the new facility and explain the dialysis process and equipment. A short dedication ceremony is scheduled at 2:15 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
