The host Hockinson Hawks extended Columbia High's losing streak to four games last Friday, handing the Bruins a 60-30 Trico Division defeat.
Columbia (0-4 in Trico, 6-6 overall) played a strong first quarter and trailed 13-12 at the first break in action.
But it wasn't able to build on that in the second as Hockinson went on a 18-6 run to take a 31-18 lead at halftime.
"After that first quarter I thought we were going to have a pretty good game," Bruins Coach Mike Yarnell said. "But then they came down and hit three 3-pointers and I thought, `Here we go again.'"
The Hawks (2-1, 9-3) put the Bruins away in the second half, outscoring them 29-12.
Sophomore Ericka Ziegler's nine points and 11 rebounds were tops for Columbia. Chelsea Peterson led Hockinson with 19 points.
At Woodland 76, Columbia High 21 --
The Beavers (3-0, 10-1) built a 31-point halftime advantage in rolling to the Trico victory Jan. 10.
Junior Chelan Weiler accounted for more than half of the Bruins' offensive production, finishing with 13 points on 5-of-7 field goals and 3-of-4 free throws.
Chelsea Wilder, who netted four 3-pointers and 15 points, was one of four Woodland players to score in double figures.
