Dufur captured wins against Condon-Wheeler and Arlington over the weekend to move into fourth place in the Big Sky conference, one game behind Echo at the midway point of the league season.
In Saturday’s home matchup with Arlington, Katie Beal and Jessica Brown scored six points each, Trinity Blake tacked on five, and the trio of Kayla Bailey, Kierstin White and Emily Crawford put up four points apiece to lead Dufur to a 47-23 victory.
The Rangers were ahead 8-6 after one quarter, but pulled away in the second period, as seven different players hit field goals to complete an 18-7 spurt for a 26-13 halftime advantage.
Dufur (3-10 overall, 3-3 league) hit on 20 field goals, one 3-pointer, and made 6 of 12 free throws.
Arlington (4-11, 2-5) totaled seven field goals and shot 9 of 16 from the line, with Sara Grady leading her team with eight points.
Friday in Fossil, White, Beachamp and Brown combined for 22 points and the Rangers held on to a 34-32 win over Condon-Wheeler.
Dufur jumped ahead 17-15 at halftime and Condon went on a 10-9 run in the third quarter to make it a 26-25 Ranger lead with one quarter remaining.
All told, Dufur hit 14 field goals and made 6 of 16 free throw tries.
White scored nine points, Beachamp ended up with seven, Brown had six and Zoe Hester added three points.
Condon (5-9, 3-4) tallied 14 field goals, three 3-pointers, and went 1 of 9 on free throws, with Sidney Geer putting up six points and Abby Colby scoring five points.
Following Tuesday’s game at Mitchell-Spray, Dufur hosts Echo (6-8, 4-2) at 4 p.m. Saturday.
