Cycling challenge coming in May

Endurance cycling is not for the faint of heart, yet with the Oregon Cycling Challenge, there is a course for everyone. Challenge Series races include two non-competitive rides (60 and 120 miles), and two endurance races that can be raced as an individual or team (200 and 400 miles).

RAAM and SOUL EVENTS are world leaders in the sport of endurance bicycle racing.

The team is responsible for the Race Across America (RAAM), the world’s premier ultra-endurance bicycle race, a 3000-mile coast-to-coast race across the USA, as well as the Race Across the West (RAW), an 860-mile race across the Western US, the RAAM Cycling Challenge Series and the 6-12-24 Hour Endurance Time Trail World Championships.

In addition, they offer seminars on endurance bicycle racing and sanction endurance races worldwide.

A unique aspect of the Challenge Series will be going back to the root of the Gran Fondo and all the Italians meant for it to be.

The “big ride” will take racers 120 miles through the beautiful Portland countryside.

All cyclists will be timed and will challenge them against the distance or the clock.

It’s an opportunity to experience firsthand the intensity involved in endurance racing, the accomplishment of achieving your goal and taking your fitness to the next level.
